Nike+ FuelBand in the box!

Well… what was in the box?

My new Nike+ FuelBand!! I decided I’d treat myself to one and I have to say its pretty damn cool! :-)… And very motivating.

It came in a really neat box…

The band on the right, instructions cables and extension clip on the left. 🙂

I got myself a small one and it fits just right.

I put it on charge, ready to use. 🙂

I’ve synced it to my Nike+ account and have realised I’ve already got over 1 million fuel points!!

Fuel points are point you earn when you’re active. The more active you are, the more points you get. 🙂 I earned mine through 5000km of running I logged with Nike+ over 4 years. 😉

You can sync your activity through you computer and there’s even an app for your iPhone you can use to sync your runs through Bluetooth. It’s pretty smooth and I’ve been competing with my brother who has one. 😉

On the app, you can see a home screen showing your own activity and syncs, an activity summary for you, a friends table which shows your friends in order of whose got the most point in a day and in a week, and a page about you, your personal bests, awards and settings. 🙂

I have to say its really motivating, especially when I get the chance to beat my brother EVERY DAY! 🙂 he lives almost 300 miles away!

    Hello,

Nice blog, I follow you for several month and this very practical way of doing is very interested.

For this particular post, I will be interested to know your experiments about this watch, do you think that the usage of it for cycling will evaluate the calories correctly ?? A is it more a device for runners .?

    Best regards,

    Serge

      Hi Serge

Thanks for following my blog and for your comment. I’ve been using the Nike Fuel Band for about 2-3 weeks now and it’s really motivational. I’m competing with my brother who actually cycles a lot. I do some cycling but not too much.

My brothers tip for when cycling is to tie it to your shoe – or put it in your pocket at your hip to record the movement. I’ve put it on my shoe a few times when I’ve been cycling and it works. 🙂

      Hope that helps, Lorn x

    Hello Lorn,

Good idea. I will try to find one during my vacation (in France), because it is still not yet available in Switzerland.

    Have a good day.

    Serge
