Spin Workouts

I started doing Spin Fit a few years ago at Bellahouston.  I was lucky enough to get a good motivational Spin Fit instructor in the form of Helen Smyth.

I started off doing one class (and looked on in awe at those in the class who stayed for two classes in a row because I was knackered after just one!)

But slowly I got my body used to it and I now do two 45 minute spin classes back to back (muchos sweatos) 🙂

    Hi Lorn

Bumped into your site while searching for some info on my Garmin Forerunner 610.

I use my Garmin when running. However, I do other stuff such as spinning (never more than 45 minutes!) and also do 5-a-side footie, which I think of as cross training. I sometimes do each 2 or 3 times a week and it can be a big bit of my weeks efforts. I would like to have all the data from my various activities collated in one place and therefore thought of using the Garmin with HRM for the indoor stuff. Do you use the device in this way and is it difficult to set up to use without satellites?

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards

    Ken

      HI Ken

Nice to hear from you… I do record all of my activity on my Garmin (and have a little spreadsheet I record it in too..)… What will usually happen when you try to use it indoors is that your Garmin will search for satellites and it might ask if you want to workout indoors (and turn the GPS off). I usually still click No, because sometimes it takes a while to get the satellites after you’ve done that and then turned the GPS back on. It’s easy to use indoors, just the same as outdoors.

On Garmin connect it gives you loads of options that you can record your activity under – Strength Training, Indoor cycling. I’ll email you some screen shots of my Garmin Connect page so you can see what I mean.

      Thanks fro the query/comment

      Lorn x
