WHW Route: Drymen to Rowardennan

This Saturday we are walking part the West Highland Way from Drymen to Rowardennan: 14.3 miles approximately.  🙂

Learning from last Saturday with my few missed turns, I thought I’d be sensible and get a map together for any future trips I go on along the WHW.

I’m getting most of my information from this website:

Here is the West Highland Way route from Drymen to Rowardennan, 14.3 miles: (here’s the Excel file for printing onto A3). I’ve folded it into 8ths… so its A6 size now.

And here’s the plan for the walk at the weekend:

Friday night 4th November
Drive both cars to Rowardennan. Park one.
Drive to Drymen and have dinner there somewhere nice.

Saturday 5th November
Drymen to Rowardennan (14 miles ish)
(Sunrise 7:00)

6:20 (!!): Leave Glasgow, drive to Drymen.
6:50: Start walk where I left off on my run: Drymen to Balmaha – (8 miles, 4 hours) (Snack on Conic Hill overlooking Loch Lomond?)
10:50: Lunch at Balmaha (30 mins – 1 hour)
11:50: Balmaha to Rowardennan – (7 miles, 3 hours)
14:50-15:20: Finish, drive home from Rowardennan.
18:00: Dinner then Fireworks at Glasgow Green. 🙂

The weather is meant to be ‘Sunny Intervals, 11’C’   😀
