Wk49 into Wk50

Last week I didn’t feel like I did a lot, but looking back on it, it was a good balance all round. Twice on the bike, twice run walking a few walks and 3-4 physio strength (if I do my fourth session tonight). I took some good rest days, and progressed my running and physio exercises.
Wk49 – 30 November
Mon: 55 mins indoor bike / 20 min physio
Tue: Rest / 3.7M walk
Wed: 45 mins 10×2:20:1:40 run walk = 4.3M run
Thu: Rest / 25 min physio / 2M walk Physio
Fri: 45 min indoor cycle / 10 min physio
Sat: 45 mins 10×3:1 run walk = 4.6M
Sun: Rest / 2.2M / 15 min physio

Now this week I’m going to try to see if I can uo it to 3 runs and 3 cycles a week. The cold is making training seem less attractive, and I’m not going to run our cycle outdoors when it’s icy. But we have the garagym, with a fan heater, so if it is cold / icy I’ll go in there.

Worst comes to the worst with the cold, I can do a physio workout in the spare room in the heat (without any weights). We’ll see.

Here’s my plan for next week:

Wk50 – 7 December
Mon: 55 mins indoor bike / 20 min physio
Tue: 45 mins – 9×4:1 run walk
Wed: 30-60 mins indoor or outdoor bike / 25 min physio
Thu: 45 mins – 9×4:1 run walk
Fri: 30 mins intervals bike / 25 min physio
Sat: 1hr outdoor bike / 20 min physio
Sun: 50 mins – 7×5:2 run walk

I might do my run on Saturday, if we stay in tier 4… it’ll mean my planned haircut will be a cancelled. But we’ll see.

We went into tier 4 on 20 November – nearly three weeks ago…. and here are the numbers for Glasgow City over the last 60 days – from here – https://www.travellingtabby.com/scotland-coronavirus-tracker/local

Down to about 150 cases a day… from about 300 a day before the tier 4 lockdown.

And about 4 deaths a day roughly… from about 10 day before.

I have no idea what will happen next week, and if we’ll go down a tier… who knows. I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Anyway, I’ll try and keep you the motivation levels with my training and hopefully my body will respond and be back to full fitness soon. Stay safe everyone.
