Here’s the book I’m reading just now – The Optimism Bias by Tali Sharot.
Optimists tend to live longer because they exercise more, are less likely to smoke, they eat better and live better.
Pessimists die younger, as they take more risks, as they believe they do not have much to lose.
🙂 optimists expect to do well in life, have good relationships, are productive, healthy and happy, and have less reason to worry or despair. Resulting in them being less anxious and more able to adjust to and deal with stress factors and illness.
