Not so long ago, I wrote a post about why it’s important to remember that you are so special. Special as little babies and children, and special as adults too.
I touched on depression, anxiety and low self esteem, told a few stories, and ended with ‘You only live once – you are amazing and special, and you can do anything you set your mind to.’

After I wrote it, I thought I could learn more about the whole idea of being grateful for what you have and realising that you’re special. And also learning a bit more about depression and how others cope with it.
I came across and ordered this book which arrived today – Reasons to stay alive by Matt Haig.
I’m only 15 pages in so far, and already it reads really well. He’s just told me about when he went outside to commit suicide after 3 days in bed – but it’s enthralling already.
A Sunday Times bestseller and Amazon best seller, it’s a good little size and I’m really looking forward to reading it. 🙂
If you liked my post the other day, I think you’d like this book too.
