A long and productive day at work, where the donations continued to trickle in all day (thank you all) followed by a good long coaching session with a client who is training for her second half marathon. She was very persistent and did well in the heat. The weather was lovely and sunny, and the moon came out too.
Siobhan is my friend who has had Crohn’s since we were teenagers and she’s the reason I’ve chosen to raise money for Crohns and Colitis UK.
Today fundraising amount reached £500 (thank you to all of those who have sponsored me).
If you’d like to sponsor me, you still can, my just giving page is here: http://www.justgiving.com/lornrunsthelondonmarathon
They must have got my details from just giving and it’s great that they’ve been proactive to get in touch with me.
I ran an ‘easy’ 11 mile run tonight (not usually distance the week of a marathon but I took it very easy) with my client and I’ll do 4 or 5 miles tomorrow first thing, then that’ll be my training complete. At present I’ve got no niggles (touch wood), and I’m feeling good and well rested for it. 🙂
I’m still off coffee and will have been off two weeks, come race day, so I’m hoping when I take my caffeine energy gels on the day, I’ll get s great boost.
Now I just have to pack, get myself to London (on the train) on Saturday, and get to the expo to pick up my number, then get to the start line on Sunday! I’m looking forward to it, I’m excited (and a little nervous for all the travelling)!
I’m sure it’ll all go to plan. Thanks again for your sponsors, we really appreciate them.
