As you probably know by now if you read my blog, you’ll know that I’m lucky enough to work for BBC Scotland. A stones throw from home and a job that I love, I work in the ‘Talent’ team which works to get people to work in the BBC, whilst supporting staff in making programmes.
I work with and help the teams at BBC Radio Scotland, and I’d like to introduce you to a new programme which is going out on Mondays at 13:30 – called Personal Best. Produced by Gillian Russell, it’s unlike most things you’ll hear on the radio – something I could really relate to.
You can hear it on iPlayer here: Personal Best – BBC Radio Scotland
The most recent programme was about the Importance of Rest which I could relate well to. And there’s been episodes (see all episodes here) on preparing for exercise in our ever changing Scottish weather, training for an event and different training plans.
Gillian has also signed up a newbie runner called Julie who is training for the Glasgow Half Marathon (16 week plan) who’s doing an audio diary for the programme.
It’s different radio, and it might only appeal to a certain type of person, but if you read my blog, you might be interested in this programme content. (And it’s only 30 minutes long, so easy to consume on the go – via the iPlayer Radio app or when getting ready for work or whatever).
And here’s the BBC Radio Scotland Facebook page if you’d like to see updates on your newsfeed – like it.
