Bella Vita – Life is Beautiful

Today was a good day. I had planned a run with Gill this morning, but she pulled out due to a niggle / pain she didn’t want to make worse. Hopefully the rest will do her good.

So as I wasn’t running with anyone, I did my usual for 2015, of staying in bed at 630am instead of running. But I wanted to run today, so rain or whatever, I decided I’d be running at lunchtime. (It wasn’t raining at 630am!)

I went out for my run at just before 1pm, and did just over 10k up the West End and back. Through Kelvingrove and mostly along the Kelvin river. I oddly met my brothers friend Angus (who I’m running with in Saturday) about 2-3 miles in and ran and chatted with him for a bit.

I was soaked (but not soaked through) by the end of it, but it was warm enough for shorts and my compression t shirt, gillet and cap kept me just right. Good job I went a run today to burn off what’s coming next. 😉 it was nice to have shorts on for once.

I had a good day at work, in for 9am and finished for around 620pm. I got everything I needed to get done, and even made quite a few people laugh and smile. 🙂 then I had a quick change and got picked up and taken for dinner.

Out for dinner with Fit Girl to Bella Vita on Paisley Road West. 🙂
When I left swimming teaching, one of the parents I get on with well was very generous and gave me some vouchers for the Italian restaurant. Thank you Eddie!

I had a really tasty goats cheese pizza with caramelised onion and balsamic vinegar. It was so good!! (No starter for me – FG had three courses though!)

But a tasty wee ice cream for afters. Thank you very much.

And the other good thing that happened today? I finally got my green First Aid lanyard in work. 🙂

Now I’m looking forward to a day off work tomorrow, we’re having a fun rest day, out for pancakes at 10am, then who knows where we’ll end up.

Life is, indeed, beautiful (and I’m stuffed!).
