Wk6 into Wk7

Here’s what I did last week and the plan for this week:

Last week was 4 runs, 35 miles, including two long runs. I’ll have a lower mileage week this coming week (18M), and just 3 runs, mixed with 3 swims and plenty of rest (3 days).

On Wednesday night this coming week, I’m coaching running and on Thursday night I’m coaching strength / HIIT training. I’ll do my own training in the mornings.

I’m feeling the effects of the swim this morning. Sure, I managed to get up early and was in the pool for 640am: 2000m later and a good breakfast and plenty of fluid later, and I’m still hot and bothered and feeling tired from it.

I wonder if I’ll ever get used to swimming 80 lengths in under 40 minutes? I feel fine doing it, just after it I get the hot flushes and tiredness.

I’ll try and go three times this week and a few times next week and see if I can get used to it.
