Be happy in your life

This post is dedicated to an amazing friend who I made cry when I was having a good chat with her and said that I thought she had just ‘lost her cape.’ She’ll be back, amazing as ever.  🙂

Last night I had a dream. A dream where I was feeling like I wanted to cry all the time. I was lost in life and I was an emotional wreck. I didn’t know what was wrong, all I knew was that I was unhappy and I couldn’t shake it.

Then I woke up and realised it was all a dream. A bad horrible dream. That I was here and I was happy, really happy. Life was ace. I smiled and got up. Everything is awesome. 😉

If you’re unhappy but you don’t know why, maybe it’s time to focus a bit more on you. Instead of worrying about what it is that’s making you unhappy, think about what makes you happy, and make time to do it.


Take time out of your life to do what ever it is that makes you happy. Be it spend time with your family, spend time with your loved one or with your friends. Go fly a kite, go for a run, a walk or a swim, go out for a nice meal (those things make me happy – you think of your own).

Look at your life and decide which areas you’d like improve upon. Set goals and take action to achieve those goals. Sometimes the treadmill of life takes over and we end up doing things we don’t want to, and we don’t get time to have fun or be happy. Don’t let that happen to you.

Look at why you’re unhappy and realise that it’s all in the past and you move on. You might have been ill, or stressed. Recover well and don’t let stress get to you. You might be doing things that go against your values or you might be in the wrong job for you. Focus on the positive, make changes and do stuff that makes you happy.

Look at where you’ve come and how well you’re doing now, and be you. Think about how amazing you are, get your chest up and your head held high and believe in yourself. You can do anything you choose to.

I’ve done all of that above, and that’s why I’m happy now.

I think that being unhappy is pointless, let go of the past and of the things or people that make you unhappy. Move on, and be happy. 😀 I do, and it’s great.
