I’ve had a build up of around 8-10 weeks of increasing my mileage with a taper week this week (with only one 7 mile run!)
Here’s the route I plan to run on Saturday morning:
I tell people I’m going to run a marathon and they say, ‘Which one?‘ and I say, ‘I’m just going to run around Glasgow until my Garmin says 26.2.‘ It might sound a little crazy, but it’s going to be good to push myself and run the distance around my favourite local streets. 🙂 I’ve trained for it, I’m ready for it, and I don’t need a medal or t-shirt at the end. 😀
The weather on Saturday is due to be perfect I think… a cloudy 15’C. Just right for running in. 🙂 I’ll start at around 7am and should be finished around or before 11am if all goes to plan. I’ll fuel with babybel cheese and hydrate with water from my water pack.
I’m really looking forward to it. – Who says I can’t run a marathon in Glasgow? 😉
