32 years young I am today. 🙂
I feel very fortunate to be where I am and to have all that I have. This week has been really good for me: a good interview for a new job / attachment in work led to me getting it. I start in 2-3 weeks time. A good time for a change for me I think.
I’ve been lucky enough to become a running coach and hopefully help others to get into running and love it as much as I do.
I’m on track for my training for the Barrathon in about 10 days time and I got all of these presents for my birthday today, before breakfast in bed and a customary run later on. 🙂
I got a nice new running outfit: another pair of my favourite Nike tempo shorts and a couple of marching vests. And some nice brightly coloured swear bands. I got some ck summer perfume, some earrings and some chocolates. Oh and a super egg cup holder thingy lol.
I got 5 books in total, mostly about running and recovery, and one about eating and exercise smarter to be slim and another about setting up a personal training business.
At first glance, this one looks like a good resource for all things running:
This one looks really good about how important rest and recovery are in training:
This one is for an idea I’ve had, it’s very americanised, but it should give me some ideas for the next 3-5 years for me:
And this one, again American, might not be as good as the run less run faster one above, but looks good anyway:
I did have plan of going to the coast and flying a kite, but it’s pouring here. So we’re off out for a run in the rain before lunch and dinner out. 🙂
I think I’ll wear my new shorts!
Happy Birthday! Love the colour of your new shorts so much nicer than black and very summery. We just need the weather to match
Thank you! It was sunny all week then it rains today and all weekend when I’m off!! Grr. I just went for a wee run along the Clyde in the wind and rain with my summery gear on (compression Tshirt and flours event yellow t shirt)… Very summery indeed. Didn’t stop the wind and rain though! Hey Ho never mind. 🙂
That’s a great haul you’ve got there 🙂 And a brilliant week, congrats on the new job! And a very belated Happy Birthday!
