TRX workout

This morning I did an hour of weights and a boxfit workout followed by a good TRX circuit at Bellahouston.

I’m really liking the TRX and got this set of workouts together (top two sets standing, last set on the ground):

LEGS
Jump Squats
Single Leg Burpees
Suspended Lunge
Single Leg Squats
Ice Skaters
Deep Squat to Pull Up

BACK CHEST SHOULDERS ABS
Back Row
Chest Press
I Up & Y Wide
Bicep Curl / Pull up
Rollout
Side Star Touch
Side to Side

ABS
Jack Knife
Mountain Climbers
Press Ups
Pendulum
Hamstring Curl

Choose between 2-5 exercises from each of the sections above as a circuit. Do each exercise for 30 seconds each and . Do with limited rest.

I was doing 30 secs work: 15 secs rest. The Abs ones are killers, especially the pendulum one after the jack knife!

Do you know the story behind TRX?

TRX was invented by a Navy Seal to help him and his team mates train and keep fit when they were deployed. He used parachute straps and created the TRX and now the suspension training system has gone world wide. 🙂
