I’ve woken up this morning to two news stories which I’m quite interested in:
1. One in 5 gets their 5 a day
I know I usually don’t get my five a day. It’s a lot easier and cheaper to eat food which isn’t as good for you. Enough of the excuses though. You can get you 5 a day easily, you just need to make an effort and make it into a habit.
There are lots of benefits in getting your 5 a day and I’ll do a post later in the week discussing this.
2. Minimum price for alcohol to be set in Scotland
I spoke to a friend last night who listed loads of reasons why she shouldn’t drink, but she still does. She was talking the way I was before I gave it up 3 years ago.
I’d never suggest to people that they should do what I’ve done and give up drink, it’s not my place to say, but what I can say is that giving up drinking has done wonders for my health and holiday fund. 🙂
Anyway, the Scottish government are due to increase the minimum price of alcohol soon, which might give another reason (cost) for people to reduce the amount they drink. I’ll discuss this in a post later this week too.
What are your thoughts on the two subjects? 🙂
Do you get your 5 a day?
How do you get your 5 a day?
Is it cheap or expensive?
Will minimum pricing affect the amount of alcohol you drink?
Do you agree with minimum pricing?
Are there any reasons you’d give up drinking alcohol?
