I’ve been using the free Target Weight weight app on my iPhone for a while now and decided its be good to buy the Target Weight PRO app as the basic app was good and the PRO one looked even more promising.
I wasn’t disappointed. The Target Weight PRO app allows you to put in lots of information so that you can keep in top of your weight goals and also monitor other things like your blood pressure, resting heart rate, BMI and cholesterol.
As part of the set up and inside the app, it asks for other information including family history, age, sex, height, waist circumference and body fat %.
And it works out what risk you have of getting cardio vascular disease (me: 1%)
And your Heart age based on the details you’ve entered:
Note: you need to have taken your blood pressure for this, it suggests you do it once a month. You can get this done at the Drs / nurse or you can buy a cheap digital blood pressure monitor from amazon like I did so I can check it myself. 🙂
You can have as many user profiles as you want to, add notes and share or export the information from the app.
All in all I think it’s a great all round app and has great potential to help and motivate people to get healthier, and lose or maintain their weight.
I’d thoroughly recommend it! Well worth the couple of quid it sells for. 🙂
