So Tuesday morning and I was going to do a wee 10k time trial before work… but the Gremlins came along and persuaded me against it! I actually got up, got my training gear on (I had to put a bin out before the bin men came later)… then went back into the flat and went back to bed!! Shocking.
I didn’t feel right, but the truth of the matter was that I didn’t fancy a run, and especially a fast run. I was making excuses for me to go back to bed, and today, the excuses and Gremlins won. Not like me, but hey ho.
Hopefully I’ll get up tomorrow instead? 😀
Tuesday night I went to Bella for a spin class with Catherine, then I thought I’d run 5 easy miles as my first run of the week. As usual the room was roasting even with the fan on. I was sweating bucket loads.
At the start of the first spin class, the woman I usually sit next to, Val, was questioning whether she would stay for both the sessions and I said I thought I’d stay for one and run for 45 minutes.
After the first class Val gave in and decided she’d stay for the second class too. The class was good so I decided to stay for the second class too. I’ll pick up the 5 easy miles later in the week sometime.
Catherine is the second best spin instructor we usually have, behind Helen. Catherine knows her stuff and makes the workouts varied. Her music is pretty good too. The only negative thing is that Catherine only works out for about 35 minutes, with 5 minutes cool down, so our workouts are cut short by about 5 minutes each… (I’m glad of it when it finished early though!)
We are really missing Helen though. This was week 4 without her… I hope she’s back soon.
