What about after the marathon?

I’ve got 4 weeks after the Lochaber Marathon then it’s the women’s 10k… I’m aiming to beat my one and only time for the course… 48:15…which should be fine as I’ve been doing most of it in about 46:30 in time trial’s recently….. here’s the plan….

Weeks to go: 3
Monday 4 X 0.5M/800m fast, with 0.25M/400m slow jog
Tuesday 30 minutes fartlek
Wednesday 10k route steady (or time trial)
Thursday 5M fast
Friday Rest
Saturday 12M steady (2 x 10k route?)
Sunday 3M fast
Weeks to go: 2
Monday 4.3M fast
Tuesday 30 minutes fartlek
Wednesday 10k route steady (or time trial)
Thursday 5M fast
Friday Rest
Saturday 10M steady
Sunday Rest
Weeks to go: 1
Monday 4.3M steady
Tuesday 5M fast
Wednesday Rest
Thursday 2 X 2M fast with 10 minutes recovery
Friday 3 X 0.25M/400m strides, with 0.25M/400m jog
Saturday Rest
Sunday Women’s 10k Event

Then I’m off to sunny Portugal for a week! 🙂
