Wk5 – 30:30 45 minute workout

Wednesday night and it was a circuits workout we had planned.

Me and my friend: 11 exercises, I did 30 seconds work and rested while she did 30 seconds rest as she worked for 30 seconds, then repeat three more times for each exercise.

4 minutes for each exercise: 2 mins work, 2 minutes rest each.

Here are the exercises we did:

1. JUMPING JACKS

2. SQUAT JUMPS
3. PRESS UPS
4. DOUBLE ARM SWING (12kg Kettlebell)

5. ALTERNATING LUNGES
6. MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS
7. DOUBLE ARM ROW (12kg Kettlebell)

8. PLANK WALK UP
9. TORSO CIRCLES (12kg Kettlebell)
10. ROMANIAN DEADLIFT
11. SQUAT FIGURE 8 (12kg Kettlebell)

After doing it, I felt I could have done it for longer, so we’ll maybe try 4 x 30:30 for each exercise next time.

We’ve been having issues with our electricity. It went off on Sunday and Scottish Power came out and did a temporary repair. Now 3 days later the lights were flickering and half way through the workout everything went off.

But I still had my tabata HIIT app running, and we got a torch and did the workout by torch light. It was quite funny. :-P. I’ll add photos and a heart rate graph once I get power up and running again.

Anyway, now it’s 3 hours later and Scottish Power have been out and called out another team to fix the issue. The electricity from the street needs to be turned off so they can fix it.

So it means it’s pretty cold in here now, and we’re waiting for them to come and fix it. What great fun for a Wednesday night!! All layered up with a battery pack on my iPhone and a couple of layers on.

In the back of my mind I’m wondering what run I have planned for Thursday morning, 6 miles of hills I think it was. We’ll see.

The run might get delayed until Friday morning, I’ll see how much sleep I get tonight. :-S

45 min Circuits: 11 exercises, 2-3 reps of each, 30:30.  Approx 500 calories.
Ave HR: 112 (59%), Max HR: 141 (74%)
