Monday night and I went straight to Bellahouston swimming pool after work. I got into the changing rooms and as usual had a slight bit of doubt about doing the swim. But I was able to park that thought and remember the buzz I get after a swim. 😀

4 x 100m FC, 25m fast, 75m easy: 1:44, 1:47, 1:49, 1:49. (5,5,5,30)
3 x 200m FC, 25m fast/25m steady: 3:31, 3:35, 3:38. (5,5,30)
5 x 100m FC / alternating stroke: 1:45, 2:09, 1:48, 2:11, 1:50 (5,10,5,5,5)

I was pleased when I finished and managed my first 2000m swim in months in under 40 minutes. 🙂 All in all it was a good workout. The lane Iwas in had between 1-4 people in it and one only got in my way once.
I drank a caffeine lucozade during the swim, came home and had a 400ml protein shake when I got home – mixed with water instead of milk and it actually tasted better. Then I had about a pint of water with dinner. Hopefully I’ll be ok tomorrow and not too dehydrated. 😉
