Monday was the bank holiday and I was off work. I took the opportunity to have a lazy day on Sunday and do the long run, my last long run before the half marathon – on the Monday.
We got up and were out the door for just after 10. I ran the first 2 miles with my friend along Paisley Road West and into Bella park – 9 min miles, then I went on my own, cranked the music up and ran around 8 min miles for the rest of it.
I had an idea of the route, tracing the half marathon route mostly…and ended up doing 11.5 miles in 1:35 – 1:33 if you take out the stops for traffic…which would be between 1:45 and 1:48 which will do me fine. I wore a long sleeved black top to try to recreate how (hot) I’m going to be feeling when I do the run in the outfit…lol oh…why don’t i post the pic up here eh? (Supergirl)
Once again my music helped, but as I’ve rated my songs (5 stars brilliant to run to… 3 stars ok)…I’m doing to collect the 4 and 5 star songs together for a playlist for Sunday.

I’ve run the route maybe 4 or 5 times now, and think I am well and truly ready for this half marathon.
