Tuesday 26th January – weights then Spinfit

On Tuesday night I did an hour in the gym – doing the week 3 & 4 set 2 weights for the first time. It took a bit of getting used to, and I didn’t do the ‘Skull Crusher’ as I didn’t have a bar. Replaced it with a Bench Press and Shoulder Press.
 
WEIGHTS 2 – Week 3 & 4 – set 2
SQUAT – 3 X 25 – 10KG / HEEL RAISE – 3 X 25 – 10KG
BICEP CURL – 3 X 25 – 8KG / SINGLE ARM PULL OVER – 4 X 25 – 8KG
HAMMER CURL – 3 X 25 – 8KG / BENCH DIP – 3 X 25
BENCH PRESS – 3 X 25 – 10KG /  SHOULDER PRESS – 3 X 25 – 8KG
UPRIGHT ROW – 3 X 25 – 8KG, 6KG, 6KG / PRESS UP – 3 X 12
 
Then at 1830 I did 45 minutes spin fit.  Helen was back and it was a really good session.  She was naming all of the tracks we were doing – intervals, running, speed – I forget the other names.  I sweato’d anyway, and it was hard going at points but I’m really getting used to cranking up the resistance and knowing when I can’t crank it up anymore. Rebooked in for next week.
 
Total calories burned for the day: Weights – 350, Spin Fit – 500, Walk to work – 65. About 900.
 
I say about as my heart rate monitor seems to be gubbed and I can’t seem to fix it.  Got new batteries for it, and it still wont work.  Boo hooo!
